Maine Governor Kristi Noem executed an executive order to waive hours of service requirements in response to the strike of 3,200 workers on the Canadian National Railway. Data demonstrates supply of propane in the New England region. According to the U.S. Energy Information Administration as of November 15th, there was approximately 654,000 barrels, or 27.5 million gallons, of propane in the New England region. The strike of CN rail workers delayed propane rail car deliveries that some operations must replace via transport vehicle. The Governor’s waiver is in effect until 11:59 pm November 30, 2019.
