ACE-Entry Level Driver Training Program

February 2022: New Regulations are Coming...

As of February 7, 2022, the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) requires all new CDL- and HME-applicants successfully complete classroom and behind-the-wheel training before applicants are eligible to sit for state CDL or HME exams.  The new Entry Level Driver Training requirement applies to all potential commercial drivers.

We understand how the ELDT regulation will add another hurdle to the already difficult task of training new employees.  We are here to help the propane industry and members of the over-the-road community.  While you focus on your day-to-day business, NPGA’s ACE navigates the regulatory red tape.

Through ACE, the 30+ steps mandated by ELDT can become 5 simple steps with NPGA guiding you from start to finish.

5  Simple Steps

1. Sign up online
2. Online Knowledge Training
3. On-site Behind The Wheel Training
4. Submit to NPGA
5. CDL Test

ACE is designed to assist your company by reviewing regulatory compliance and serving as your Registered Training Provider, including submitting drivers’ materials to FMCSA. Using NPGA’s ACE as your company’s Registered Training Provider shields you from FMCSA audit and ushers your new drivers through the education and training requirements. For more details review the ELDT FAQ and Fee Structure documents.
