The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) executed a Regional Emergency Declaration for the state of Texas in response to severe storms. Governor Greg Abbot declared a state of disaster for sixteen counties within Texas due to severe rain storms.
The emergency declaration waives hours-of-service requirements for those providing direct support of relief efforts to those customers impacted by the severe storm.
The waiver is effective until 11:59 pm November 21, 2019. Drivers operating under the terms of the FMCSA Regional Declaration access the FMCSA Emergency Declaration through the Propane Logistics Analysis Network (PLAN) available at www.plan.npga.org or the NPGAction app.
