The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), Midwestern Service Center, Southern Service Center, and Western Service Center issued a Regional Emergency Declaration effective July 11, 2019 due to Tropical Cyclone 2 across these states:
The emergency declaration waives hours-of-service requirements for those providing assistance to the affected states, including the delivery of fuel, equipment, and supplies.
The waiver is effective immediately and remains in effect for the duration of the emergency or until until 11:59 pm August 10, 2019. Drivers operating under the terms of the FMCSA Regional Declaration may keep a copy of the declaration in the vehicle.
