The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) executed a Regional Emergency Declaration for the state of California in response to widespread wildfires and extreme winds. The emergency declaration waives hours-of-service requirements for those providing direct support of relief efforts related to the wildfires in California.
The waiver is effective until 11:59 pm November 27, 2019. Drivers operating under the terms of the FMCSA Regional Declaration may keep a copy of the declaration in the vehicle. Alternatively, a copy of the declaration is accessible via PLAN at www.plan.npga.org, or through the NPGAction app.
