We need your help! As you know, the Alternative Fuels Tax Credit (AFTC) expired December 31, 2017. There is an effort underway to include expired tax credits (“extenders”) in a February 15, 2019 government spending package. We believe that this spending deal is the best, most likely way, to move extenders.
In order to extend the AFTC, we need your assistance to demonstrate to House and Senate leadership the crucial necessity of passing tax extenders as soon as possible. Congress has been made well aware of the importance of the AFTC for issues of clean air, climate change, reducing dependence on foreign oil, job creation, and crucial economic impacts. We need to convey to them that businesses need certainty and need expired provisions extended as soon as possible. Most importantly, we need to convey this sense of urgency to the House before the February 15 deadline.
