Alabama Emergency Declaration – Hours of Service Waiver

February 2, 2019
News

Alabama Governor Kay Ivey declared an emergency in response to severe weather and temperatures in the state. The emergency declaration waives intrastate hours-of-service requirements for those providing assistance in the state, including the delivery of propane.

The waiver is effective 3:00 pm CST Monday, January 28, 2019 for thirty days, until February 26, 2019.  The governor’s declaration is in addition to a current FMCSA Regional Emergency Declaration for direct assistance to those continuing to recover from Hurricane Michael, which expires March 19, 2019.
