NPGA members face a myriad of federal rules and regulation that govern every aspect of the propane gas industry. Marketers and producers, transporters and manufacturers alike face the same challenge: how to remain competitive in an environment that is increasingly burdened by federal mandates. NPGA has positioned itself to help its members face that challenge. Fourteen professionals staff NPGA headquarters to serve the member's needs in Washington. Whether the issue involves hours-of-service regulations or clean air legislation, your team in Washington will safeguard your interest. The NPGA Governmental Affairs Committee guides the association's issue positions and priorities.
Propane Days is the premier advocacy event for the U.S. propane industry. Hundreds of industry members travel to Washington, DC for two days of issue briefings, guest speakers, and meetings with legislators and their staffs. Since 2005, Propane Days has served as the propane industry’s most important legislative outreach program. The event has broken attendance records for three straight years, growing to more than 400 participants last year representing 44 states, Washington, D.C., and Canada. This is one of the most effective ways for our industry to advance its public policy agenda in our nation’s capital.
NPGA is not just involved in Washington, D.C. We are also in the many U.S. state capitals, lobbying for our members.
