Panel Discussion: Propane Supply and Demand and the Effects of Shale Gas Plays

NPGA convened an important seminar on Monday, January 30, 2012 that addressed supply and demand challenges facing the propane industry. Knowing that this topic is of the utmost importance to propane marketers this winter, NPGA recorded the event and will be posting it online in the near future so that all industry members can view the presentations from either the NPGA or PERC websites. The PowerPoint for the presentation is currently available here.

The four-person panel was made up of experts from across the industry who provided the latest information. Presentations were moderated by Andy Ronald, Chairman of NPGA's International Committee in the following areas:

Ron Gist (Purvin & Gertz)
"World and Domestic Propane Supply and Demand Balances"

Rusty Braziel (Bentek)
"U.S. Natural Gas Supply and Demand Relative to Shale Gas Plays"

Peter Fasulla (Principal/Founder En*Vantage, Inc)
"Overview of U.S. Regional Supply Changes and Impact on Propane Supply/Demand Balances"

Tom Van Buren (Ferrellgas)
"Logistics"

NPGA believes this information will help every marketer in the industry understand the global supply and demand balances and trends, and how these factors affect their businesses. NPGA believes this event will also demonstrate how both national organizations are attuned to the broader industry concerns. NPGA thanks the Propane Education and Research Council for co-hosting the seminar.
